There are some occasions when you might need to lose weight in 2 weeks. For example, you might need to lose weight in 2 weeks because you need to attend your sister’s wedding.

Usually, fad diet is the recommended diet when you need to lose weight fast. Fad diet can indeed help you to lose a few pounds during the first few days. However, the weight loss is not a permanent one because the weight that you lose is a water weight.

It is a lot better to make a few changes to your lifestyle that can produce permanent solution rather than doing fad diet. The following steps can help you to lose weight fast in 2 weeks.

1. Cut All Carbohydrates

Eliminating carbs completely for two weeks can help you jump start your weight loss efforts. You can lose several pounds in those two weeks. However, I won’t recommend this as long-term solution. Many of the low-carbs diets usually recommend two weeks free-from-carbs period in which you eat no carbs (grains, starchy vegetables, fruits and baked products) at all.

2. Eat Lean Protein

Your diet should include lean protein such as chicken and fish without added oils and fats. Lean protein foods are good to make you feel fuller until your next meal.

3. Eat More Often

Eating five to six meals per day will help to maintain your blood sugar level. When you are hungry, you will trigger spikes on your blood sugar that leads to craving and insulin production. Therefore, you should eat before you are hungry, once every few hours.

4. Eat High Fiber Foods

High fiber foods such as dark green vegetables, they are low in calories and contain the necessary nutrients for your body and keep you satisfied until your next meal. You should add a cup of fiber foods such as broccoli, cucumber or cabbage to every meal.

5. Do Intense Exercise Program

Interval training is the best option if you need to lose weight in 2 weeks. Intense training is a training where you do high intensity activity followed by low activity in short interval. For example, you do 10 minutes of treadmill followed by two minutes of high speed and high incline running. Interval training is good to speed up your metabolism and effective technique to lose weight.
